I'm new to this forum and to the DFW area. I recently purchased some persian lilacs from a local nursery and wonder if anyone has had luck with these and if so what is the best placement for them?

Ummmmm from what I have seen and heard - lots of water, some shade and lots of luck for cooler summers and cooler winters.... ours hae died out a couple of times. Vitex is a good plant to grow in this place....
I'll keep that in mind! I love lilacs, so I wanted to try them. I have a spot that gets morning sun and filtered afternoon sun and I'll amend pretty well with some gravel for drainage. I heard they like gravely, sandy soils.
