use for a pool liner

Bethel, OH(Zone 6a)

I had to replace my pool liner this summer and was wondering if I could use the bottom of it for a liner for a pond. My pool is a 28 foot round pool and I had to cut the bottom of it around the bottom seam to get it out of the pool area. It is a light blue with dark blue stone shape design. Does the liner for a pond (water feature) have to be black or do you think I can use my liner.

Or any ideas would be helpful

Thanks,
Cindy

if the pool liner is still flexable you should beable to use it.
pool liners becouse of there construction flex once. reflexing it
could cause it to rip or crack. you could use it as a under lay.
this is what the pool guy here just told me yesterday.
I was thinking of using a old pool liner.

The pool liner that I have stretches. When I purchased it we dug out the center of our pool deeper. We bought an expandable pool liner so it would stretch to fit the depth of the hole dug. It is still flexable. The liner is only 4 years old. I had to replace due to empting the pool to clean out leaves and took to much water out so the liner on the sides shrunk, but the bottom is ok.

My first pond was lined with a pool liner. You will want to put old carpet or something similar under it to help with vigorous roots on weeds or trees and such. It held up really well for over a year. That is when our dog went in after a big bullfrog and ripped it with her toenails. LOL Word of fair warning though, you are going to love it so much you will be looking for real pond liner and a bigger pond soon. :)

my liner is 28 foot across I can make it as deep as I can which will not make it the full 28' across. I do have a pond back behind my house but it need to have the dam broke and drained and dug out. the silt filled it in and it is only 3' deep. not to mention not fish, which my boys just love to do. My husband has access to heavy equipment so hopefully I can sweet talk him into doing it for me.
