Water plants, alocasias, elephant ears, "pacific yucca" etc.

Leesburg, VA(Zone 7a)

Updated my trading list, check it out.

I am open to about anything, but specimens from the aroid family are high on the list (uncommon or oddball varieties especially). I used to collect orchids, tillandsias, and bromeliads ... I now have very few specimens, so this is an area of huge interest. Hell, let me know what you have, okay?

In short, here's what I have available:

Aquatic (pond and bog garden) plants
----------------------------------------------------
Lizard Tail
Parrot Feather / Water Milfoil
Powdery Thalia
Water Pennywort
Water Hyacinth
Watter Lettuce

Misc

Various Aroids (elephant ears and their kin)
------------------------------------------------------------
African Mask / Alocasia 'Polly'

Holy crow ... I knew I should've fired up the computer over the weekend!

- annac213: sorry, but the mini cattail has taken off like a fiend for me this year.

- elyearcrazy: this is a horrible picture because of the lighting. I hope to get some better pics of the specimens that I have around the property later today. What do YOU have avilable?? My guttata Bullatta is in horrible shape; a fresh pup would be nice. I am also looking for a Longlobia, Cuprea, Zebrina, Tigrina, or ANY varigated variety within the Aloc, Colo & Xantho group.

Like I said, horrible lighting ... (the lime & dark green "swirls" in the leaves are INTENSE, and have been for several generations of divisions. Also, the leaves are a good bit more of the ruffled side than a normal esculenta)

- brandnewgirl133: Bummer, I just got one of those yesterday from an old friend! Is there anything peculiar or notable about the mother plant? Anything else in the bromeliad/tillandia family?

- gumlla
'Thai Beauty' is a relatively new (the newest I'm familiar with) hybrid of caladium. It's a looker!!!

- Paridise
Still waitin' on that mail! :o)

- Lori_Illinois
As you saw, I have a multitude of water plants, my dear. Almost all of which are hazdy in your zone. "Little Miss Muffet" ... is that that semi-draft dianthus? Also, which EE plants do you have with pups? Got pics? What are you wearing ... LOL ... oops, wrong forum.

- juttz/Judy: Hook me up with that list! Tropicals are lovely, but I really have my work cut out for me every fall and spring. Hardy plants are welcome too, ya know! :o)

- MississippiSkie: you picked two that I should have listed as "Will have" instead of "For Trade Only." I am waiting to do anything to any of the ele.ears until fall (except for the esculenta: there must be 20 or more of them going to town in my gardens!) Check the Plant Files for hardiness. I *believe* alot of alocasias are hearty in 8b, although all of them will go dormant and lose their leaves for the winter. I'd really do my homework first, though.

*** In regards to the Alocasia Sinuata ...
I really don't wan't to ship off under-developed pups in this weather nor am I too thrilled about disturbing anybody's roots now that the psycho-growth phase is kicking into high gear. I can provide highe quality plants by wanting until the plants themselves take their breather for the season. Corms/tubers for any and all of the aroids listed above can be had this fall ... OR, I would be happy to hold them until next spring until they have established roots and fresh shoots to help ensure a quality plant.

Dear me, now there is another plant on my *must have* list. Is there any Colocasia esculenta Plasma Lime still available? I'm afraid I don't have any aroids, but perhaps I have something which might interest you. Let me know if any are still available and I'll list stuff I have. Thanks!

Leesburg, VA(Zone 7a)

Killer ... one left, available to the most shameless person willing to offer their prized plant (or of-age first born woman child)

Juuuuuuuuuust kidding ...

What I do have available is a very small pup that has a nice set of established roots. It was ear-marked for someone else who I've not heard from. I'll keep you posted.

Elizabethton, TN(Zone 7a)

Shadowgirl ... I am in a holding pattern with the "Plasma Lime" Colo. I'll definitely have a'plenty come the end of the season, but as it stands now there are a number of people here (and at home) that have stated interest.

Blue: The Amazonica (African Mask) will be available at the end of the season when it's safer to divide.

Leesburg, VA(Zone 7a)

ElyEarCrazy ... you have some items that I am overly interested in. Let me know if I should hold this for you or not. Here's the pic, btw: (as mentioned elsewhere, it's a bad shot, bad lighting, etc., but it gives you an idea (the leaves developing the strongest coloration and swirls after the 7th leaf opens)
