Question about walking onions

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

What I want to know is if you dig one up and eat it can you plant the little bulbs on top of the stem? They are edible right???????

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

They are edible. The top bulbs normally plant themselves when they get heavy enough, but you can sure speed up the process. :)

Thanks Badseed. I am still going to get those daylilies ready to send for you to look after. I am just worried that it is to hot right now. What do you think??

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Whatever you think is best is just fine. :) The ones I had in the greenhouse in cell packs were SO dry. I moved them out today. I did
make a new bed and filled it already. Now I am expanding the butterfly garden. LOL If you do send them, give me a heads up. I would wrap them in moist papertowels and newspaper just to keep them fresh.
