Real Rain after 7 1/2 weeks of NADA

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

yipee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

We can hear the thunder in the distance, and the clouds wander over, but we haven't gotten any rain yet. I keep hoping... In the meantime I just went out and watered the little 4 inch pots of mums that I'm holding for Donna. She didn't want to haul them all the way to Savannah and back. I just praying I don't manage to kill them in the two days they are in my care. If they start wilting I'll have to get Awshucks to pop over and fix them up. LOL

It was VERY fun seeing you and your DH last night, by the way!! :-)

Marylyn I will post pix in the other thread later. I have Becky coming over for her plants some I'm busy doing a quick house cleanup. If I remember correctly Donna said to keep plants on the dry side to minimize risk of dampoff(rotting).

Ooo... Ok, I didn't hear that part. They were wilting a bit, so I just sprinkled them. I'll leave them alone now. Thank you!!!

west Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

I got 1/2 inch rain on July7th...1/4 inch yesterday and 1/4 inch today. I'm on west side of Houston.

my gauge says its rained 1.5". too wonderful

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Isn't that funny? I'm in northwest Houston and I don't think it rained at all here.

west Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Marylyn...its been real hit and miss hasn't it? Kinda wish it would just set in for a few days of steady rain....THis time of year?!? I know I'm dreamin'!

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

You're definitely dreaming. LOL It would be nice, though! We definitely got wet today, but it was raining so hard everything just ran off and apparently ran downstream to I-10. yikes! Be careful if you have to go out!

west Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

I got almost 2 inches today! I'm out by hwy6 north of I10--we have been missing alot of these daily showers here. Finally! :)
