Depends on the heat level. They'll be open within a few days most likely. Patience is a virtue that I don't have. LOL

Citrus Heights, CA(Zone 9b)

hehe thanks, i got him when i worked at the watergarden nursery, they sell all sorts of things and he used to have feet and everything but he fell off a shelf, they were going to throw him out but i saved him lol. it is actually a working frog house, there is a HUGE male bull frog that lives under him, and at night he moves over to the pond to the right:)

The Frog is really cool. I'll take it and it's resident!!
When the flowers open take a pic then go back and take another pic in a few hours then the next evening. I'm so new with brugs that it still amazes me the way they can change colors so fast.

please share the pics.... :)

Citrus Heights, CA(Zone 9b)

oh i will, brugs are just so amazing to me, this is my first year with them and as i said this is my first blooms "sigh" i just cant wait, my DH bought me a digi cam just for daves so i can share:) lol

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

You're hooked for sure.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

We get flea beetles on our potato plants really bad. I generally hit them with a spraying of Sevin and they are gone. I can't wait to see your brug blooms. It doesn't seem fair that they have to tease us with mostly yellow buds to start.

Citrus Heights, CA(Zone 9b)

Thats just what i used on mine and the sevin worked great. this brug is very lucky, when i clean out the filter from the pond next her i just squeeze the filter pad in the pot:)

yes i am hooked i have like 4 of them in diffrent parts of the yard and keep wanting more:)

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

Oh, gosh, what does a flea beetle look like Brugie, and what kind of damage?? We have a huge potato crop this year and I don't want to take any chances...

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

They are little black hard shelled bugs and they jump when you brush the leaves of the potatoes. They eat lots of small holes in them. Here is a picture of them.

i cant wait to smell it! should i be able to by now?

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

Thanks, Brugie! I'm thinking I saw something like that, I'll be out to check EARLY in the am...

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Do you have color in your blooms this morning? Did they smell good too? There are a few that have little to no fragrance. I hope this one does smell good for you. It really is too bad that they only have strong fragrance in the early evening to early morning. I could handle my yard smelling good all day too.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Anna, a member her Kristi uses her fish water and her brugs get the best pink colors. I almost bought myself fish to get such colors. But my DH said NO!! We already live in a zoo. LOL

I think my favorite bloom position is nodding like yours to outright horizontal. I like seeing the happy face on them.

I had gotten my digital camera for Christmas 2 years before I joined Dave's and never even opened it. As soon as I joined, I drove my DH nuts teaching me all about using it and downloading and posting pictures. Now I love taking pictures as much as growing brugs. You are going to have so much fun here.

Citrus Heights, CA(Zone 9b)

yes she is turning a very pretty pink or peach could go either way:) she had a very light scent baby powderish i would say, this is one that i got on ebay, i cant wait til tonight:)

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Cool. We are ready for more pictures.

Citrus Heights, CA(Zone 9b)

nay ideas why her leaves are yellow? i feed and Esalt they are alos rough is that normal?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

If they feel rough on the bottom side, it could be mite poo. You don't necessarily have to see webs to have mites. That is what it looks like to me.
