Tenella Rose Begonia

somewhere, PA

I started this guy from seed last year. Its got the most flowers I've
ever seen on a begonia. It went like this all summer last year and so
far, its been going full force this year too. I'd sure recommend it
for folks looking for lots of bloom in a part sun situation!

Wow, Tammy, I have never seen so many blooms on a beg.
I have lots of beg. but not like that. Did you feed it good?

I put a little "algoflash" fertilizer in every watering. (Except I ran
out and now I'm using miracle grow or fish emulsion or whatever
else I have on hand). But this tenella rose blooms more than
any other begonia I've had on the same regime. And I've got
another one that is going crazy now (from seed this year too).
Thompson Morgan sells the seeds. I don't have great luck with
germination but even one out of ten seeds is worth it! (I got
4 / 10 started from the red and 0/10 from the white type seeds this
year. I'll have to see if they'll send me another batch of white).

That is absolutely stunning! Gorgeous color, are the leaves variegated or is that the sun? I love it!

Its just the sun on the leaves. I should take a pic when the sun
is softer. The stems are red too though.

Tammy, have you posted the plant to the Plant Files yet? I tried looking it up but couldn't find it. If you haven't, I sure wish you would. It is just wonderful. Dotti

I'll do that. It hadn't occurred to me.
Thanks,
