Hey, I sent a hello but did not add it as a new thread, so if you didn't see it, Hello! (I'm not really sure exactly how these post work as of yet). I live in San Francisco, grow hoyas inside and out. Hey Carol!
Hello
Hi Markroy!
Welcome to the forum! Were allways glad to welcome another hoya crazy person!!
Jaimee
Great to see you here, Mark!
Carol
Christine, inside I have the tropical and semi-tropical growers. Australis, subcalva, archboldiana, macgillivrayii, pachyclada (maybe), obscura, lacunosa, potsii, wayettii, and a few others, including some gorgeous plants I received recently from Carol (imperialis, campanulata, callistophylla, and a particularly lovely siariae I received as a bonus plant).
Outside, suprisingly, are almost all old standards; carnosa, shepherdii, pubicalyx (various), serpens, motoskei, polynuera, and a few others. Only the carnosa and pubicalyx have wintered over here allready, this upcoming winter will be the first for the others. What do you grow, and where?
That's a great start Mark! All my hoyas are inside; nothing hoya-related can overwinter outside here, and I don't like taking them outside in the summer because they have to be debugged before coming back in. I have Carnosa, Holliana, Krimson Princess and Queen, Compaca, Compacta Regalis, Krinkle 8 (maybe), Pubicalyx (2), Lacunosa, Imperialis (maybe), Multiflora, Australis (2), Polyneura, Bella Variegeta, Motoskei, Shepherdii, Kerrii, Kerrii Variegeta, and a baby NOID that's quite interesting. I have an order comng soon for: Lobbii, Aridana, Finlaysonii, Benquetensis and Kentiana.
I also have about 90 other various tropicals indoors - my life revolves around a watering can ...lol.
Christine
Wellcome Mark, it is always great to see another join in. I am also a avid hoya collector.
