I don't know what is wrong with my Equador Pink. It had such nice lush leaves on it. Then they turned green with a slight yellow tinge to it, and started dropping like crazy. I'd find 2 a day. It's growing new leaves at high speed, but it sure looks funny now with 7 buds and tiny leaves except for on the suckers. When things started to run amuck I did all the usual things. Sprayed, gave Iron fertilizer, Epsom salts, Neem oil. All about a week apart. Oh well, it's not like I wasn't warned about the trials and tribulations of raising Brugs.
This is my first pink flower. Too bad she's practically bald. :-)
Pink Pity Party for one, Your table is ready!
Too bad too, she would have been a stunner with those buds. The good things about brugs are a mother still loves them even when bald esp if they have blooms. LOL
I would say lack of water myelf. Did it ever wilt? It usually starts to drop them madly a few days later. But brugs come thru with new leaves so fast, Makes a mothers heart turn too mush. Though lack of water usually causes bloom drop too. Did you lose some buds?
What size pot is that one in, Mary? The leaves are so petite. She will start to get monster leaves.
If the brug is fixing itself, I tend not to worry at all. It is when it doesn't have new leaves at the growth tips you should panic!
The Rosamond is in an 8.6 gallon pot. The Equador Pink is in a significantly bigger pot. Can't see the pot size unless I tip it on it's side. I had a spare of the one Rosamond's in so I was able to see the size on the bottom. EP gets full sun until 1 Pm, and then is shaded. Rosamond gets dappled sun since she's shaded from above.
Mary
The blooms are lovely, and it has a nice shoot coming up from the base.
