CLOSED: Wanted: Any Blue Hydrangea Cuttings...See Pic Please

(Zone 7a)

Hi, I'm looking for cuttings of any pretty Blue Hydrangea.

Okkkk here's where the picture comes in...LOL. Yessss I'm picking about HOW my plants grows, shape, and form...he he he.

So can you cut pieces of this nature? I cut this one from my Pink Bush and it is already rooting in 7 days. I look for cuttings about 4-6 inches from a leafy stem. Not large in diameter cuttings, or cuttings that have been cut on the top and bottom...

With all that said...Anybody got some??? LOL LOL Seriously..I NEED this bush!

Janet I see the piece I want! LOL LOL. Just the right piece :-D Also I'll look at your want list and see what I have...To root just clip, stick in rooting powder, and place in soil. Keep it moist.

Chelsea, I'll go look at your want list. I can't list my plants..It's better if you tell me what you're looking for or like.

Dahlia seeds are extremely easy to germinate and bloom 8 weeks from seed.

I'll take a look tomorrow to see if I have a rooted one and let you know:)

Kim,
I am not picky! I love Iris..any kind, would like to have some pinks and bicolor ones, red family. Some type of good shade plants...I mean pretty heavy shade...very little light gets through. I am just beginning a bed in my wooded area. I think I am crazy! I will get the first cuttings in the pots today, it will be mid week before I can get some from my MIL. Will let you know..do you want them rooted before I send them? Or do you want cuttings sent? LMK
Janet

Kim, I can send you some Mophead cuttings. Here is a picture if your interested. They get quite large. LMK if your interested.

A blue hydrangea will turn pink in alkaline soil. Coffee grounds around a blue bush will produce pink flowers. Acid soil will turn them blue again.

Kim, you have mail.

Busybee, here it is usual to stick nails into the soil if blue Hydrangeas are wanted. It works!

Kim,
I am mailing your Blue Hydrangea today. Let me know when it arrives! I noticed you have a beautfiul cardinal flower...do you have any of that for trade? I would love to have some if you do. Thanks,
JanetS
