hello everyone!
writing to you from my lappytop, on the deck, in the GARDEN! LOL! --you only get me on breaks during the summer...(how DO you get that green sticky-gluck off the keyboard?)
female, 55, in saugatuck, michigan. safe to say i am certifiably mad for gardening. community garden, plus my own beds, working the pondbank too. eyeing that vacant 10 acres adjacent....
raised-bed intensive organic accessible vegetables, anyfang PINK flowers, natives and others for the pondbank project, herbs fresh then dried, and houseplants in the winter. raingardens look interesting....can you compost snow? and how do i keep the geese and their big kids from pooping all over my hostas? 5 years new to northern gardening, help meeeeeee!
i'm in the woods, on a pond (30 feet from my back deck), a block from lake michigan, just outside a small resort/arts/sailing community. quiet... green... heaven-on-a-stick here. (and, yes, i do have a guest bedroom...) *GRIN*
i am so glad to be here with all of you. looking forward to learning lots, helping out where i can, and making some greenbrain friends.

Welcome Wabi!! I live about 25 miles East of South Haven!
We saw fireworks in Saugatuck..oh about 3 years ago, no maybe 4 years. Doesn't seem to be that long. We climbed the steps up Mount Baldhead. All, what, 287 of them? I wanted to go into the shops, but ex-DH wasn't interested. We had lunch at Monroe's. It was very good! Interesting place!

Another welcome from AZ...Jo

--picture me sneaking around the village late at night...with my shovel....saying to myself "you know..they have an awful LOT of these...overcrowding, really....mmm...they might not miss a few....".
