Chameleon Houttuynia?

Kittrell, NC(Zone 7b)

Could someone please tell me how to overwinter this plant. It was given to me as a bog plant. It has just beautiful coloring and adds lots to my "bog". I hate to lose it because I didn't ask. Thanks Melanie

If you have it in your bog (or anywhere else) you won't lose it. In fact you may wish you could. It is pretty but it is a very hardy, invasive perennial. Good luck. Jessamine

Thank you very much!! I was told to keep it potted, now I know why. Thanks so very much, Melanie

levilya: So... does that mean you have extra to share? Maybe trade to someone?

Lilburn, GA(Zone 7b)

I have plenty of this stuff to share! Please email me if anyone wants some. It is very pretty but does like to run around! Mine is not very particular..sun or shade, dry or wet it just keeps growing. There are times I wish I would have kept it contained, othertimes I am so happy with it. Go figure.

Is it really this pink? If it is I may want a little once I get moved. :)

I planted some outside my pond last summer. I got it because of the beautiful colors.

This year it is everywhere. I am not even sure how it got to some places. I love it though. It grows to the same height as the plants it grows next to.

Next year I know I will be pulling it out like weeds!!!
