I have had company from Scotland for the last four weeks (they left on Sunday) so here is a photo of the blooms on my phormium for Donna (OldFlowerGir)l as she was asking what it looked like. Not spectacular, but interesting LOL !

Thank you Heather. It is a nice flower, isn't it? Just wanted to know what to expect, if and when it happens. :)
Hope you enjoyed your company from Scotland. I am sure they must have been impressed by your lovely garden.
That is cool, Heather! I'll have to find me a piece for next year.
:) Donna
Very interesting! Looking forward to seeing it in person. Ü

That flower is very exotic! Especially up close. I will be looking forward to mine getting old enough to flower too!

I think the plant thought it was going in the compost along with the rest and was so stressed that it decided to have one last flourish. I hope it is not monocarpic (or whatever that is when they bloom and then die !)
Heather
Heather what a flower on that..NICE
Hope, one day mine will come like that as well-especailly since it came from you.
Hugs, Ingrid
Heather that's lovely. was that on the tri-colour one or the dark one? I just got back from hot & humid Toronto, so went out and checked mine. Well, at least it's putting out new growth, but no flower spikes yet. I"ll keep looking. That's real nice Heather.
Hi Linda, welcome back to wet Victoria !
It is the tri-coloured one that bloomed. I didn't keep a piece of the dark bronze one as I had no room for it (and my DH isn't particularly keen on them !)

Don't think we shall EVER get flower spikes in Winnipeg. welcome back Linda & Chery.l. Hope all your brugs and house sitter guests survived.
Was so kind of you to make time for lunch the day before you took off for YYZ.

I think that flower is quite lovely, Heatherbelle. I have managed to put to rest any Phormium I have tried (3). But this flower is most suitable and quite neat! Congrats to you. Dawn
