Hi, All -
This is one of Kristi's crosses - Butterfly X Creamsicle - taken today. I have 2 of these growing actually, but this is the bigger. This has been a very healthy vigorous grower from the get go. Wouldn't be surprised if this flowers this year - does anything look like a Y in there??
I've got a good feeling about this cross...

Hey, Datdog...here's one of your babies...
Really nice. I love your hair!!!
Carol
LOL..thanks Carol - when I was a young girl I thought being a redhead was a curse - kids in school made fun of my freckles and boys steered away like I was diseased. That all changed when I became an adult...and now that I am about a week away from turning 51, I consider it a blessing to still have my red hair. (oh, and John loves it too :-)
Diane
wow thats what i had that squirrel got it one other one i had started from seeds.. nice....
Looks wonderful Diane. I have several of Kristi's creamsickle crosses. They are 3 x's as tall as other seedlings I started 2 months before her. Very robust growers.
Great minds, Carol! I told Diane the same thing when I first saw her hair, red is my fav color and if I could change, that would be the color I'd select. Diane, I do believe you look younger this year than last!
What huge, great leaves. I can't wait to see what you get with that cross. With BF you can get a darker orange. That would make Cream sickle so much better. I sure hope it blooms this year also. I have been so curious about Cream sickle as a parent. I wonder what the chances are to get a double when the pollen donor is the double.
If you take a close up of the top we can look for a Y for you.
I love your hair too. LOL
You are just too cute Diane! Great picture. That seedlings sure did grow quick. I hope it does bloom for you this season. Orange would be good too. LOL Thanks for posting the picture.
Hubby's first girlfriend had red hair, so he has always been a sucker for redheads. Don't know why he picked me. Guess he couldn't find a redhead when we was ready to get married. LOL
That brug sure has lush green leaves. What do you feed your brugs to keep them looking so green?
Hi, Minigrannie - my brugs are all looking great now - but I have had my share of issues this year. Back in April & May I posted a couple of times whining about yellow leaves, spider mites, and deformed leaves. Issues turned out to be mostly from usig the wrong formula of fertilizer for brugs - now I use CalMag 15-5-15 and my two other staple products I use on absolutely EVERYTHING I grow:
Messenger (every 2-3 wks) and Spray n Grow (once a week).
The combo has done the trick for me -- everything is green as green can be, growing like their on steroids and all but 2 of my brugs have set buds despite a very cold, wet spring that gave them a slow start.
Look at this pic of another cross I am growing - Ollie X Jean Pasco - also taken last night -look at the SIZE of those leaves!
By the way - anybody recognize this cross - if it works out I would love to credit the right person.
Oh, my! Your brugs are so big and green! I'm embarassed now, that mine are soooo small!
Is that lovely building your home???
Hi, Sequee - don't be embarassed - we all have small brugs to start - mine are small compared to some of our lucky members who live in warmer zones where they can grow in the ground year around.
Yep, that's our place -- I take it you haven't seen the posts on the house and garden? - throw away your copy of War and Peace and curl up with these two threads (lol):

Loved seeing your good looking picture, and the lovely manicure, too; explain about all the hard work we see in your photos ????
The plants are lush; I'm glad to see such good recovery from mites and yellow leaves.
I'm planning on crossing my Creamsickle with a few different pollens. Mountain Magic, Cherokee, and possibly Whiskers. I have another pollen down in the fridge I can try but I can't think of the name right off the bat. It might be butterfly, but forgot.
Awesome, truly awesme! Do you give tours of your gardens. Would lopve top see the place next time I'm on a Logee's run!
looking great, Diane. How do you keep your nails so nice? (I certainly don't look so clean and neat when my photo is taken while I'm gardening)
Linda - you are so right. I remember when I used to go to work, dressed to the 9's, perfect make-up, no hair out of place... Now, it's dirt under the finger nails! Who'd'a thunk I'd buy a house and my entire personality would change???
Wowie, Diane! The brugs are huge and healthy! I really think you're pulling our leg about your age! You look around 40. Okay....I can't stand it anymore.....lol. I don't have any darn buds or I'm not even sure I have any Y's....sheesh!!! So yu'all need to start sending me some of that strong brug vibes over here. I need all the help I can get.
:) Donna
I'm new at Brugs.. What is this thing about a Y ?
Diane your Brugs, and YOU look great, my brugs are still suffering, I am sure if we had a good rain they would get better, no rain in over 4 weeks, the local fair is on next week, it will surely rain then, it always does.
Doris
Thanks Doris - we had a VER Y dry June - we got less than a quarter inch of rain all month but last week we finally got a good rain for 2 days. All my plants jumped up 6" in growth they were so grateful! Now I'm worried cause I have 11 brugs in bud and we have the remnants of tropical storms coming this way. Supposed to get rain and wind tomorrow night and Saturday and we will have to see what happens to the hurricane that's developed down off the gulf coast next week. Tropical storm winds would be enough to rip my plants up or worse - break off the tops. It would be a real chore to try and move them into the barn for protection. Guess I will just wait and hope for the best.
Diane
Good luck, Diane. They are far too pretty to let them suffer! Mine are still small, so I can move them into the sunroom. Thank you for the warning/reminder, though!

Diane, you brugs look wonderful and it appear that you have found the right combination of a feeding process. They just do not get any better looking than yours. I hope the bad weather stays away from your place.
