Doing a search for information... I thought to share these two sites. I like their low tech approach. Sorry if it is a repeat:

I am off to try some spot tests to see if it will be OK on Brugs.

Mites
Carol, thanks for the links! I've just been outside cutting leaves off due to mites. They do surprise me......I just looke Wednesday and now I have them. Geez.....I'm potting up to larger pots and making sure I have Bayer Granules for mites. It sure doesn't take long for them to multiply.
I just bumped up an old thread, then I posted a link to some really good mite information
Judy
Thanks, Judy. Going over there.
Brinda, what do you think of the Bayer Granules? Are the brugs you're treating in containers or in the ground?
Emily, they are in containers. I know directions say not to use in containers, but of course.....I didn't read that part of the directions. LOL So far....no problems.
Hmmmmm Does the Bayer ...rather IS the Bayer, no, ARE the Bayer Granules and Insecticide or a Mitacide? I take it is a systemic? Wow...I haven't seen them here.
I talked with the former Bug Kapuna at the HI. Ag. Department...and after making it VERY clear that mites are not insects...he said that wetable (wettable?) sulpher should do them in. Also suggested putting the Ovicide in with it to get both at the same time. Is there no light at the end of the tunnel.
The switching of treatments and rotating them seems important. Mites seem to build an immunity easily. The Neem Oil, he thought, was good cause you suffocate the buggers!!
I found the Bayer granules yesterday, haven't used them yet.
Carol, Kell is the one that told me about Bayer. So far, I really do like it. It's extremely simple and easy and I sure like that. I'm not positive, but I do think Kell said that she uses the liquid. My reasoning for not buying the liquid concentrate was because it is so hot here that I was afraid I would burn my plants. I would have to spray way after dark to feel comfortable about it. And yes, it is systemic.
Thanks, Brinda...I have not found that here. I use the Tree and Shrub formula as a Drench at the roots...you might read the info and see if you can do that! Then you won't burn the leaves. Could you give me the Ingredients Formula in the shot....to see the % of Imidocloprid? Thanks.
Carol
Brinda, what you picture, that is what I use for mites along with Neem. So far it does great. I have never seen it in liquid, have you??
The Bayer, Tree and Shrub does not mention mites. I use that one for every other bug I do not like. LOL. I am trying it for cucumber beetles. It is great on mealies and hard scale. It is a soil application so it is very easy to use. You do not get it all over yourself by spraying.
I much prefer soil applications.
I'm with you, Kell... I shall have to go online and look up the Bayer Products....on my list and my list is LOOOOOooong.

I MUCH prefer soil applications; however, if you live in an area that has been without rain, I would make sure my plants were WELL watered before using anything, especially bug stuff, fert, anything. I thought my plants were watered well enough, but some were not and they burned. Also, my seedlings, despite being 3 feet tall, were not 'tough' enough for the dose they received. Excellent learning experience for me and I hope someone who hasn't done this will look before you leap, that is, make sure the plant is well watered before you apply treatments of any kind...
Well said!!!
I have used ornimental oil as a treatment for spidermites and it wiped them out literally overnight... and I really thought I was going to lose all my plants it was so bad... Systemic treatments from Otho didnt work well, even at the high end doses. The oil base worked best.
