I usually dig up my tulips after they are done blooming, and replant in the fall, mainly because a lot of my garden gets quack grass ridden and I'm trying to keep in control of it - anyways, this year I dug up most of them in the nice dry spell that we had, and they are resting nicely, just waiting for fall...But then we got a long rainy spell and I panicked and dug up my new beautiful "Cream Jewel" tulips that were later to start dying down than the others, and most of them look like they are rotting...They really look bad and I am sick, because I bought like 100 of them. Should I just have left them in the ground if it was wet, or would they have rotted any ways? I wanted to get them out so they would dry off...Could they have rotted because they were hit by frost this spring? They bloomed even after they had ice on them...Any advice? Or admonitions? I don't want to make this same mistake again.,
I think my tulips are rotting
