I have 3 strawberry plants that are producing right now that I need to go. They are pretty big and are actually in a flower bed. Looking to trade for daylilies of peach, apricot or white color, not worried about names. Or let me know what you have as I dont have much. Thanks
Strawberry plants 1 offer
Oh and they are everbearing.
Okay, let me show my stupidity. Do strawberries take sun or shade? Also, other than daylilies, is there anything else you want? I can make a list of what I have to trade right now.
I dont have much so let me know. And they like sun.
Here are the items that I have right now
Confederate Jasmine (would be unrooted cutting)
Coleus (unknown) - Rooted cutting
Hosta - Francee - They look a little rough because they are getting too much sun, but still very much alive. Have several of these.
New Guinea Impatiens - Same as Hosta, but still putting out a ton of new leaves. Have one or two of these.
Probably 1 or 2 rooted Sedum Autumn Joy
Hibiscus Abelmoschus Manihot Seedlings I think I could ship this okay, but they are still pretty green, no woody stems yet, so I am not positive.
Society Garlic Seeds
Let me know if any of these appeal to you.
Confederate Jasmine (would be unrooted cutting)This looks interesting but dont know about it in NH. The others look fine. I wont be sending till Tuesday due to the holiday weekend mail. Do you want to wait till you get them to see what you send?
Coleus (unknown) - Rooted cutting
Hosta - Francee -
I can send the rooted cutting for the Coleus (it is one stem with several leaves) and a couple of the Hosta - Francee. They will have new leaves coming out, but the bigger leaves will be removed since they are damaged from the sun. Let me know if that is a problem. One of the listings under the plantfiles said that they kept Confederate Jasmine in zone 6, but had to bring it in during the winter. It is a vine that blooms with very fragrant flowers that smell a lot like Gardenias (at least to me). If you would like to try it, I can send a green wood (new growth) cutting and you can see. I haven't rooted this type, so I don't know the best method, but have read that it can be done.
Please let me know if that sounds fair to you or if you would like additional items. I really don't know how to judge and I don't want you to feel shorted. Or if you would like to wait and see if you get a more interesting offer. If you would like me to mail first, I can do that too. PLMK.
Thanks.
Sure what the heck I will try it. I am sure you Francee will like it here. Thanks! I think I can fit all the plants in a flat rate box dirt and all but like I said will send Tuesday
Is your address in the exchange? Mine is, but if you have any problems finding it, let me know. When you get your box, if there are any problems or you feel like you should have gotten more, please let me know. I am still trying to get a level of comfort on how much to send and all that.
Can't wait to get the strawberries. That was one of the things that I had been thinking I wish I had planted this year.
I will mail on Tuesday also.
Thanks.
I am new also and have not found my comfort level on amounts either. That is why I said you can wait till ya get the plants if you want. I am creating a new shade bed also, so need to hurry. I am in the exchange
