She's A Lady

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

"She's A Lady" Tom Jones

Well she's all you'd ever want,
She's the kind they'd like to flaunt and take to dinner.
Well she always knows her place.
She's got style, she's got grace, She's a winner.
She's a Lady. Whoa whoa whoa, She's a Lady.
Talkin' about that little lady, and the lady is mine.
Well she's never in the way
Something always nice to say, Oh what a blessing.
I can leave her on her own
Knowing she's okay alone, and there's no messing.
She's a lady. Whoa, whoa, whoa. She's a lady.
Talkin' about that little lady, and the lady is mine.
Well she never asks for very much and I don't refuse her.
Always treat her with respect, I never would abuse her.
What she's got is hard to find, and I don't want to lose her
Help me build a mountain from my little pile of clay. Hey, hey, hey.
Well she knows what I'm about,
She can take what I dish out, and that's not easy,
Well she knows me through and through,
She knows just what to do, and how to please me.
She's a lady. Whoa, whoa, whoa. She's a lady.
Talkin' about that little lady and the lady is mine.
Yeah yeah yeah She's a Lady
Listen to me baby, She's a Lady
Whoa whoa whoa, She's a Lady
And the Lady is mine
Yeah yeah yeah She's a Lady
Talkin about this little lady
Whoa whoa whoa whoa
Whoa and the lady is mine
Yeah yeah She's a Lady
And the Lady is mine.

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

Beautiful! But darn you!!! Now I can't get that song out of my head. I keep flashing back to the scene from To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything! Julie Newmar (1995) The song was playing when they were driving. LOL

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

Beautiful, Monika and Kell....what are the leaves like? Scent?

Kell...you are growing some winners!!!

Carol

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL Kristi!! Worse, I can't get the picture of Tom Jones in a speedo singing that tune out of my mind.

WHOA WHOA WHOAAAAAAAAAAAA LOL She's a Lady!!! And the lady is mine!

When I was in boarding school, our house mother would listen to his show every Sunday night and get plastered. We would wait till late and then make up some emergency and go get her. Then roar as we watched her try to function. We were so bad. LOL The next morning she would never remember. The nuns would stay in their cloister and the inmates would run wild. Looking back, I think they were afraid to come out all weekend.

Thanks all. She looks French doesn't she? She is a ladylike pink, great scent!! I can't even wish she was darker, for then I would have to call her "She's A Hussy," not "She's A Lady." LOL WHOA WHOA WHOAAAAA!!

Now to pick her consorts. I sure wish my Tatiana was blooming!!! Hey Donna, I can't remember if you said if you had buds yet the other night?? Or was she the one 7 ft tall??? Pollen for some of her seeds?? Lets email.

She is beautiful, I've never seen another one with that particular shape or exactly like that shape, just about as perfect as can be!!! Congrats to you Kell and Monika!!!

The lyrics to that particular Tom Jones song, had me LOL and the reference re To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything! Julie Newmar, had me ROTF, that was one more funny movie, always reminded me of Some Like It Hot, the Birdcage, Tootsie, and one other one I forget, all rolled into one. I love funny stuff best of all!

Victor Victoria was another one...

The flower is beautful ... but dang it, I don't like Tom Jones and now I keep hearing his voice singing that song in my head. Good thing we don't have sound on this site or it'd be even worse. LOL

You've got mail, Kell

Moscow, TN(Zone 7a)

I love Tom Jones and that song. Ever see the movie Mars Attacks? Excellent movie, very funny, TJ was in it playing ....who else but himself. lol The brug is very nice too. lol When I was a young girl we watched Tom Jones on Saturday. My mother thought Englebert Humperdink was pretty sexy too. My, my this thread brings back memories. TJ performs at least once a year at the casinos in Tunican Ms just south of here. Seriously though your brug is lovely.

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Kell wish Tatiana was blooming. She finally has a Y, I need to air layer one of the stalks to since they have grown to only a few inches apart. She branchs out nicely so there would be no room for 2 of them to do it so close. I'll keep it in a pot so I always have one blooming unlike this year. I gave all of her away except the rootball I kept for myself. Tatiana's Tatiana is blooming. She sent me pics a few weeks ago

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

This one has lots of buds so later on in the season, Donna. I think Tatiana is perfect for her. 2 gorgeous ladies.

Here she is this morning.

Both ladies are gorgeous!

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

She has a similar figure to your Monika girl, very pretty!!!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Thanks Shirley.

You mean the last brug pictures looks like the brug in the first picture Sherry? It is the same brug just a few days later. All the brug pictures on this thread are of the same flower.

I was reading name tags today. I have 2 more Monika seedlings about to bloom. And one I can feel it is a double thru the bud. This one in a double would be so neat.

(Mary) Poway, CA(Zone 10a)

Fingers and eyes crossed that it's a double pink great enough to knock your socks off!
Mary

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

yep Tatiana would be a great cross for her.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

So hurry and go talk to yours for me, Donna ...................... LOL.

Thanks Mary, the anticipation of seedlings blooming I find is almost more fun than when they actual open! LOL

My last pic of this one. I seem to take hundreds of pics of every new brug I get. In a way it is like getting to know it. I am ready for the next new brug. LOL
