Very nice pictures Monterey!! I love hummers....I love your pics of hummers. Have you sent any in to maybe a magazine or something...maybe make a little extra cash? Not sure how much in demand it is...but your pics have to be worth something. Awesome pics Monterey!!

I notice that few of the pictures show these little guys in real flight. most just at the feeder,.I try to capture the true greatness of their flying abilites, ,to make at least a different shot. Thanks for the compliment neighbor-Rich This is the female Queenie.I am trying to get her to perch on my finger.

That would be a great picture of her on your finger. I think I saw a small feeder for that purpose...it looks like a human hand but has a red tip on a finger for feeding. I'll have to search for it again. I just saw it the other day when I was surfing around....I'll find it again LOL not that it's all that important...but it would be cool to teach a hummer to perch on your hand.

I was staying at a B n B in Fresno (Reedley)...and they had like 7 or 8 hummers in their feeders. Mostly females...and there was a black-chinned male. No pics though ;-( but still exciting for me to see more than 2 on a feeder.

The idea is good but I am afraid if they got hurt or had a problem by my touching them it would kill me. It might also kill them. I am trying for hummer hover around me shot instead. Here is a new Big Red from tonight
