I am still looking for someone who has rooted cuttings, (i kill unrooted ones) of the yellow butterfly bush for either SASE or trade. I am enquiring at all my local nurseryies and am on there wait list for a 1 gallon, but no luck so far, had no luck last year either. they coudl only offer a 5 gallon which was $30.00 which was too much.
So if anyone has any available please, please let me know
Diane
CLOSED: Desperatly seeking yellow butterfly bush :)
There are usually tons on Ebay for around 5.00. Don''t feel bad.
I kill them all the time and just keep buying more
Jan...
If mine is blooming, so I can tell which it is, I would be happy to root you some.
Diane,
I just took cuttings the other day. Have them in rooting soil and will know within a couple weeks if they took.
Don't know why, but they seem to be a bit fussy about starting from cuttings. I have done it with my own and had about a 50% success rate. I have tried with cuttings from other people and had a 100% fatality rate.
Check in with me in a couple weeks and we'll see how they did. If they rooted, I can certainly spare some for you.

Hugs Diane
Diane,
The co-op can be found at http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/511326/ although the ordering phase is now complete.
If you can't find one anywhere else and you don't mind paying the $3.60 cost per plant and the $3.85 postage I'll share with you up to 2 of the 3 I ordered for myself. (I ordered 3 to help Sandy meet the quota for the Buddleia.)

Hi All
wanted to post before i closed the link.
The day after i recieved lots of replies about future cuttings, one of the seven local nurseries called and said those magic words.....We have a yellow butterfly bush in stock are you still intrested......so i picked her up today and she is a little leggy but that will grow put after this years pruning once the blooms are done.
So thank you to all who replied and i think i have sent messgaes out but just in case i missed some one, a big thank you ...
I really think it was the DG people karma with all the good offerings and thoughts that made it come to fruition, as you have no idea how long i have had my name down at the nurseries for one of these babies, then the day after i put it on DG forum they call.....
So thank you all from a happy new owner of a yellow butterfly bush at last :)
Diane
