I try to look ID for this mushroom, but I couldn't.
It is tranparent, white pretty mushroom.

Yumiko your pink Dogwood and Bletilla orchids are beautiful. What is the plant you've waited 8 years to flower?
I think the first plant you are trying to identify, the white mushroom, is Indian Pipe (Monotropa uniflora) a member of the Wintergreen Family (Pyrolaceae). It is a parisitic plant which gets it's nourishment from growing on decaying matter from other plants.
I think your second unknown plant is Candystick (Allotropa vergata) also from the Wintergreen Family. It also lacks chlorophyll and gets nutrients from decaying plant material on the forest floor.
Sandy
Loved all your pictures, Yumiko, except, for the...yuck, Banana Slug.
Your Pink dogwood is gorgeous, I have a yellow one in my back yard. I can't wait until it gets as big as yours and bigger. Loved the Orchid, and that Candystick that Sandy identified, is very unusual.
Thanks Sandy.
This time of every year, these strange things come up on the trail at the lake and I was wondering what it is.
The plant I waited 8 years is citrus junos. Flowers lasted only 2 days,..
Thanks Donna.
I would love to see your yellow dogwood!
Thank you for posting such lovely &/or interesting photoes Yumiko! Ü
