My most mature plummie (cutting planted in April) has started to look a little "droopy". The color of the leaves (5-6 inches in length) are almost an olive green and dull, not the bright shiny emerald green the others look. I do not believe it is from over watering. I know I have good drainage. We are kind of dry right now. I watered it REAL good last night, hoping it actually wanted water, but doesn't look much better this afternoon. Could the hot sun be making it look rather droopy, but actually everything is OK????
I have been feeding it regularly with Miracle Grow Super Bloom too. Again, the others look fine....so far.
I'm scared...
CaCajun, was the soil really dry before you watered it? The sun shouldn't make it look droopy, but leaves will wilt if a plumeria gets too dry. Plumerias like lots of water, especially when there is plenty of heat and sunshine. Since you have good drainage, I would not worry. If the stem is still nice and firm, it will be okay.
Thanks. It looked better this morning. It definately gets lots of sun and heat down here, plus it is sitting on concrete. Maybe it did get too dry. The color is still alittle off, but maybe that is just what it is going to look like for now.
I had to move mine off the concrete. Just too hot in the FL sun. Now they get sun all day, water sometimes twice a day, and the pots are sitting in the grass. I mixed cactus mix and potting soil together and it seems to be just right for the drainage.

I'm happy to hear that there is sun in FL. I'm visiting next week, and have heard only "rain."
I hope you have sunshine for your visit. You've had more rain on the west coast than we have over here. My son is working in Tampa and drives back and forth on the weekends. He has had some really miserable rides through the middle of the state.

Thanks -- I didn't know it had started.
I will definately water them more. Maybe I won't have to move them. I really like where they are, but I will move them if necessary to keep them healthy and happy. Thanks to all.
