Question about Hen Houses

I have a general question. My sister in law is grading for chicken houses next to some land that we will be inheriting. The land is a pasture right now, but the property line is in sun. I want to plant leland cypresses along the line for a noise/odor/visual barrier. But my concern is, do cows eat leland cypresses? My mother in law is concerned about that. The reason why we want to plant them is when we do inherit the land in 20 or so years, the lelands will be huge by then.

Can anyone help me on this decision? Thanks!
