hummer magnet

Niceville, FL(Zone 8b)

Hummingbirds seem to love this and it is so easy to grow. A definate must in your garden. Can be a bit aggressive though. Suberecta. Oh, and the leaves are furry so you will want to pet them.

What is it? Tell me, please.

Its called Dicliptera suberecta. Commonly called hummingbird plant, for the obvious reason. Tolerate as heck of everything.

A "user friendly" plant!? I'll have to investigate it. :)

Dicliptera you are definitly going on my ''WANT'' list then!

Dropmore Scarlet Honeysuckle is great. It handles heat and cold in the winter, and they love it!

monterey,
Does the dropmore scarlett bloom on the tips? I have a 2 year old plant and it has yet to bloom.

Longview, TX

The dicliptera suberecta works well in East Texas. After hitting the porter weeds, its the second most attractive to the hummingbirds in my yard.
