Misc. pics...eye candy (I hope)

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

Some shots of the road, brugs and if anyone can ID a brug, I will include them in my Will. This is the big Brunfelsia...Dama de Noche (Street who') with Pereskia aculeata in front. Everything needs pruning!!

This is Louise (of Thelma and Louise). Her body language says loudly and clearly, 'My nose is point to a ball. Pick it up. Throw it'.

This shade house STARTED out as an open bed for brugs. Then Bob, DDDH, decided I had too much of a good thing, so he sequestered the 60%+ for his palms...and put shade cloth over the whole thing (I didn't really want it...but...oh well). I call it the Brug Barn....first starts are out....more this weekend. It is right next to my Greenhouse, so I can take care of them easily.

BTW - everything in this shade house, except for the skin, is reclycled junk from neighbours, or found in the woods, or left on the property 6 years ago. We only spend fortunes on Round-Up.!!!

Wonderful! Thanks Carol.
Man, how'd Bob get a 60% stake. Or do you reign supreme over the greenhouse? :)

Adrian, MI(Zone 5b)

What scenery!! Oh, to live in Paradise!! Lucky you!!

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

Donna you don't have to fear me moving in anymore. Change of plans. I'm going to shack up at Carol's. Carol, I don't take up too much room. :)

It's really beautiful. All your hard work is sure paying off.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Wow, eye candy for sure. Those are some great pictures, Carol. I'd love to take a trip through your gardens one day, but pictures are the next best thing.

Clinton, CT(Zone 6b)

Wow....Eye Candy Indeed! sigh...I hope to see Hawaii someday..what a paradise!

Just gorgeous, Carol. You and DH are doing a great job. Must be wonderful to live in Paradise.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

What a wonderful place you have Carol. You and DH have done a fantastic job and your plants are beautiful.

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Carol what a wonderful, beautiful place to live. It really show how hard you have worked on it.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I can't imagine having so much land to plant on. What fun. And so many incredible plants around. Just lovely. I woud have pinapple every morning if I lived there. Do you ever wishyou had done this move 20 years earlier? I wish I was born there. LOL

What is that pink flower in your second Pic, Carol?

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

Thanks guys! It's when I see my own pics and can share them that I realize how much work we HAVE done.

Blaine...since Bob builds the facilities, I kinda have to let him have his way...LOL. I hadn't wanted a shade over the 'BrugBarn' but I guess I am going to cope!!!

Do come visit...but be prepared to fall in love with it! Yes...wish we had started these projects 20 years ago...lessee, I would be 45! Perfect! LOL

Kell, the pink flowers are Liriatris (?)...it is a bulb I picked up at WalMart when I was in the PNW in Feb.... I know I don't have the spelling correct! Good cut flowers too!!!

My goodness, someone gave the lady in yellow, my hair!!!! I LOVE the road and the trees and Louise and all of your wonderful plants, the purple orchid, so much to see, it is lovely, dreamy, romantic and fun!!!

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

hehehe

Ozark, AL(Zone 8b)

What a wonderful road!! All of it really, but that was my favorite shot. I live on a private road I'd love to "dress up", but the trees on the other side are too dense, big, and close.
IDing brugs is harder every year! I think thats one of the really big reasons I love Axel Rose; it's the only variegated leaf pattern of it's kind for now, and I don't ever confuse it with anything else, flowering or not!

San Jose, CA(Zone 9b)

Wow, Carol ~ most definitely "eye candy"! I am having land envy here. Everything is so incredibly lush; you have done a most wonderful job. You should be very proud and happy!

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

Thanks, I am both proud and happy. DH does the brunt of the work on his shiney red tractor... ;>) and it is really a treat taking raw bush and turning it into something different without ruining it! We now have 125 different palms...about 200 in total and no way have we filled in all the spaces!!! Can you hear the next line? "time for more brugs". DH is all for it!!!

Thanks everyone...so fun to share with you!!

Carol
