i guess i am not a brug person and neither is my sil apperently. hehe she just came over here to show me her one and only bloom. while the neighbors around her and the nes i see are in full flushes.
i dont know what we are doing wrong. her brug is three years old and never been moved and it does not flush like everyone elses.
i fertilize mine three 2 week while my sil does here 3 times as she has more time i have kids.
all i have ever gotten is one or two bud buts others like the lady in the next town has hundreds and hers are like 6 f tall while mine are only about a ft and a half. my sil is about 4 ft but doesnt bloom very well.
it must be us as peoples in our area are beautiful and we have no luck.
i just dont get what is wrong with how we are doing it.
i know mine are in pots to their size. a foot tall cutting is in a gallon pot. i cant take a pic because i lost my digi cam or it was stolen at six flaggs last week not sure which though.

If I were you I would pot them up to a bigger size pot. From 1 gallon, I go to 5 gallon . It is early enough before winter to go for it. Mine always like a big pot. Also maybe it is your soil. I add steer manure to every soil prep I mix. I do one bag manure to 2 cu ft soil. They seem to love it and it is so inexpensive.
Are they getting some sun?? Also a high nitrogen fertilizer may make it make more green than flowers.
Also some brugs just flower more. Maybe the ones you have don't. Have you tried a Frosty? That one is known for its flowering capabilities.
I hope it turns around fo ryou. I have some that I really, realy want to grow fast and they don't, while others are like weeds. I stand over their pots and say GROW GROW GROW. Doesn't help. LOL
okay they get morning sun when its sunny. its raining agian. i want summer not a rainy season.
they get miracle grow water soluble 15 15 15 on my part. my sil gives it miracle grow and a osmocote 3 month thingy.
will try to get maya s pic( the one Kell you gave) when hubby gets home as he has my second digi cam. its only about 2 feet tall.
i use sta green flower pottin mix and miracle grow potting mix.
will have to look for a frosty.
i know i have the 2 mayas from Kell a hasen gart one , a peach colored one ( unknown name) and i added the other day a white one and a yellow one but those i didnt ask the name the lady was selling them for like 2 a pot and i bought all 4 and my sil in law bought the rest 5.
and none are over 4 ft. my sil in law has about the same ones i do but the maya ones. not big enough to take any cuttings from.
maybe age has alot to do with it?? none of mine are more then a year old but sil is 3 years old.
maybe it is the brug.
