Okay, so I've been shy with the pics! This was the one and only place in my yard that I needed a push mower for. Which, of course, I do not have. So, right around mother's day, I got out there with some tools, and my little rototiller, ripped out the grass, turned in some amendments, and here's what's left. It needs weeding, but whatever. Its tons better than what was there before, and its still evolving. I was thinking all whites, as the lilac and the viburnum are white, but everything else is more the pink/yellow family. So, semi rainbow it is. Just not blues, and true violets (well, other than my snow crocus, I need those everywhere) Hmm, blue/white spring, pink/yellow summer, yellow in the fall maybe?
I have no idea if the dianthus are perennial, or annual. Can't seem to find a straight answer on "ideal white". LOL, all I know is that they were inexpensive, and pretty.
The tiny pinky flowers are "blushing rosie" evening primrose. Too pricy to buy enmasse, so those will get spread out a bit later.
Have no idea about Clematis name either.....random gift.
And of course, my big splurge this year....*sigh* I longed for years ....Henry Lauder Walking Stick
Here's the front of my house!
