novaform mattress versus mattress topper

I need to know if anyone has purchased one of these products and how you like it?

DH and I need a new mattress. We had picked out a mattress but my DH (who is a massage therapist) bought one of these toppers for his massage table and his clients really like it. But a massage table is a lot firmer than most mattresses. So we are paused concerning our purchase whether to get the mattress and novaform topper or to purchase a novaform mattress - both projects are about the same price. DH is concerned about it being hot to sleep on and I am concerned about the durability of such a soft thing.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Comments?
