What do yall use to clean your birdbath thats cheap and safe for birds?
How to clean a birdbath?
I've had many bird baths over the years. The hardest ones to keep clean are the cement ones; the easiest are the ceramic types. Basically all I've ever done is take a nylon bristle brush to the bowl and then rinse it out, fill with clean water. If you get a bit of stubborn "red algae" you can put a bit of chlorox solution in it (couple of tablespoons in a quart or so) then rinse it out after a few minutes. That way the birds have clean dipping. I'd also suggest using a mosquito dunk (those donut-shaped things) to keep your bird bath from becoming a mosquito-incubator!

I use my hose's "jet" setting and spray away any junk in the bottom and algae from the sides. So far it's really not needed much more than that.
Yours looks easy to clean. A piece of sponge, maybe. Then rinse it out by pouring water with some force and have a clean look.
