I was really thrilled to find Buried Treasure's site...they had such wonderful Caladiums....can't get them from them. Can anyone recommend a site for good Calaies...OR...trade for other tropicals??? I would love some really flashy Caladiums...whites are great....
Aloha,
Carol
Caladiums
Carol, I may be wrong but I'm thinking that it's probably too late to order them. And another problem is that many of the caladium farms lost most of their crops with the hurricanes. It's really sad. One farm (BuddysCaladiumFarm) closed down due to the hurricanes. I wish I had some to send you. Here are a couple of good sources for later. I think the best time to order is Jan or Feb.

Carol, do you like the white ones with the green veins? I'll take a pic in a bit. I have a couple I can share now, or you can have them all in a few months. I never have good luck overwintering them!
Thanks Brinda....I will check them out.
Badseed...Oh, lovely! I love planting white anythings and Caladiums are one of the best here...almost year round color!!!! I accept with pleasure!!!
Carol
You didn't have to rub it in! LOL I get about 4 month color if I am really lucky! By the time it gets warm enough to get them up, then get some size, it is time for the cold to zap them!
Here is a picture of mine that I got from the coop that Buried Treasures held. They seem to be doing real good.
They didn't have any white ones to offer, I will try to get some for next year, I think the white with the others would be very pretty.
Badseed isn't it funny how Carol seems to RUB IN about the zone in which she lives. Just between you and me I really envy her zone, being able to have beautiful flowers all year long, the Hibiscus, Brugs, and all the tropical plants you could ever want.
Keep rubbing Carol, I like it.
Linda
BT is having problems...so I won't order from them. I love Caladiums!
Well...you just have to come over here!! Both of you! Every zone has it's challenges and I really admire the plants you guys produce against most odds. Don't have to have any talent to grow things here!!!
Carol
LOL No talent huh? I think you are doing something right! I have seen your pictures. :)
So, how am I doing here? This has only been in the ground a couple of weeks. I stored the tuber for the winter. I had to snap the pic when I noticed the ear by the pitch fork. I still have months to go before I gotta bring it back in.
