An Unnamed White

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

This is one of my unnamed/untagged ones. I got this one two years ago at either Home Depot or Aloha Palms, and this is the first time it has bloomed. The leaves are very small and pointed with no second vein, and the blooms are barely two inches. The blooms unfurl very slowly. The fragrance is very unusual, and I can't quite put my finger on it to determine what it smells like. It doesn't smell like a plumeria. It has a honey scent or a scent of some other flower that I can't quite name just yet.

This is an unnamed yellow that I got a couple of years ago from Aloha Palms. It has a strong, lovely classic plumeria fragrance:

So glad that you finally got blooms on your unnamed one. I bet you like having one that looks and smells a little different. Keep those pictures coming!

Thanks, Nat! One down, about 20 to go! LOL!

This one is unfurling very slowly and has a great deal of overlap to the petals:

Hey Clare_CA:

When are you going to start manufacturing leis? You need a night-time activity.

Hi Brad, LOL! No, I definitely don't need to take up another activity! I've got too much to do already!

Here is another picture of this small flower.

Compare it to this one, which is about four inches:

Clare, I have an inflo on one of my cuttings! Yipee!!

I did move my plumie pots where they are surrounded by other pots for protection. The neighbor's lab was compelled to anoint them everytime he came to visit.

nath~

Don't complain -- at least that'll keep the deer away -- they tell me.

LOL, Nat. Congrats on your inflo! Please post a picture when you get blooms! Remember that flowers on a cutting that is rooting may be smaller than usual and have less petals and bloom one flower at a time. This is normal because some of the energy for flowering is being diverted to the root system. Some people cut off inflo's while their cutting is rooting to let all the energy go to root development, but I've never been able to do that:-)

LOL Flyboy - - - - it must be working as I haven't seen a deer in the six years I have lived in this house. Hmmmm, I think I made the right decision to move my pots.

You can bet I'll post when I get blooms! I'll be ok with smaller first blooms. And I ain't gonna cut off my inflo!!!!!

Let's make a solemn vow. Never, no never, cut inflos.

LOL! I swear:-) Unless, of course, I want to stick it in a vase of water and decorate my dinner table:-)
