CLOSED: How do you use a SASBE from Country to Country?

Riverview, NB(Zone 5b)

I've been watching the "Seed Trading Forum" for a while now, and I've wanted to participate but I don't know how.

I live in Canada. If I send a SASBE to the US, I won't get it back because it has Canadian stamps on it, not US stamps. The same would apply to a SASE. This also applies to me sending anything to the States. I can't send anything to the States using US Postage.

I have been using PayPal and sending money for postage to people in the US, but not everyone has PayPal.

I've been very fortunate to find many bulbs and tubers from the US. The people who have sent them have marked the shipping box with the contents and "HOBBY" written on the package so it's visable to who ever handles it at Customs. I've gotten every package with no problems.

So, how can I make this work with a SASE or a SASBE?

Thank you.

I haven't traded down south for awhile but last time I checked it would cost less than a U.S. dollar to mail a 4 x 6 bubble envelope back to Canada. What I've done is included a U.S. dollar or two (that I had exchanged at my local bank) in my bubble envelope. I've then put the bubble envelope in a cheaper plain brown envelope for mailing (to save the bubble envelope from being damage when the recipient has to open it).

Thanks. Sounds like a plan to me. :)

I'm looking for a Calla Lily that I think is "King" White Calla Lily. I wish I knew for sure the name of it. I've searched them out, but when you see a picture of them, they all look the same size. The one I want has a big white flower. The florist has them but they are cut calla's. I want the bulbs. The only place I know to get them is from the states.

Go to your Post Office and buy an International Reply Coupon and send it with your self-addressed envelope tp your fellow trader.

Quoting:
International reply coupons (IRCs) provide a convenient method for you to prepay replies from foreign countries. You can send your correspondent one or more coupons. Your correspondent exchanges the coupon for postage in his or her country. One coupon in the United States is exchangeable in any other participating member country for a stamp or stamps representing the minimum postage required for an unregistered airmail letter. If you are sending something that requires more postage than a standard letter, you should inquire with the appropriate foreign postal administration about how many IRCs will be needed to complete your transaction.
