Oh it is. A great pic Ms. Munché!! Makes me want to sing: Swamp Thing, I think I love you!

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

Oh, it falls under my definition of exotic, I've never seen the dark leafed plant before, it looks like blue/black/green velvet, and really compliments your frilly, pretty brug nicely, lovely photo!!!

I'm not familiar with Illustris, is it similar to EE? Can they be wintered in the ground? I just love them but I could find them in the Plant Files, do they have another name?? TIA!!!

Great Shot!
I love the combo of plantings. I too love Illustris EE. Mine are just little guys right now. Cold weather-late start.

Kell, Kell, Kell, .. if you must sing.. at least do so in key... ;-) thanks

SherryLike.. found it in the PF.. here it is http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/53145/index.html

and yes.. in your zone they can be overwintered in ground

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Now you sound like my DH. Yesterday I was singing along to the radio and he said put your finger in your ear so you can hear yourself. So I did and I told him I was much better than I thought I was. He laughed at moi!!!

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

Mz, do you think it's too late to plant them??

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

I don't think it's too late Sherry, they are tough. I have them everywhere. They won't overwinter here so I just load up the pots and take them to an empty room at work. The die back, but come back without any problems when put outside and watered.

but keep in mind some colocasias like the more fancy ones only like to be moved in early spring.

The picture is beautiful as is the brug. One of my favorites is just a plain old unnamed pink.
Brinda mine overwinter in the ground here (z7). In fact they are popping up everywhere. They could almost be afforded weed status. lol
Sherry if you want some LMK.

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

Which pink brug is that one? She's so pretty and frilly.

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

beautiful Trish. Can't wait to get back over there and see how things have grown up.

I really like the Illustris ears. They are pretty almost anyplace. I keep mine in mostly shade. Your pink brug is pretty too.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

I love the way you've decorated your swamp Trish. :)
Nice picture.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Very pretty, Trish.

Great pictures of Illustris EE with the brug. Looks so tropical.

Thank you, Mz, for the reference!!! I just love them, they are my new favorite plant!!!

Crestview, FL(Zone 7b)

Gee Ms Munché, I need that kind of garden about now. LOL. Well, I am off to work!

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Trish.......such a pretty setting and I love the plant combination. Best of all low maintenance and you would not know by looking at it. I need more garden areas like that........low maintence and less work. Is it mostly shaded in that spot?

Niceville, FL(Zone 8b)

That is so pretty Trish. The Illustris you gave me is growing like crazy. It already has bunches of babies around it and is a decent size.

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

That is so pretty, and lush green, I envy you that, we are getting all dried up we got a 10nth of an inch last night, think it did more harm than good, we need a good days steady rain.
