How did you fare Ontario?

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

Last I saw a very, very, very nasty storm cell had crossed into your province.

Victoria, BC(Zone 8b)

according the weather channel, Ont isn't out of the woods yet. Later today, after the humidex in the low 40's, they asy more intense thunder storms.

Hang in there you guys.

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

After I wrote the above I turned on the weather channel too. Still haven't seen if that cell did damage around the Kenora area tho. That humidity is going to be a killer in Timmins......their temps are supposed to hit +47C today.

Cochrane, ON(Zone 2b)

T-storms started here about 10:30pm last night & continued til around 2:00am, off & on. My poor dog was terrified. He just can't find anywhere to hide. This a.m. you could barely breathe. Predicting another one this afternoon & temps of 35º & humidex of 47. Hello migraine. Air conditioner has been on since 10:00am. Hope everyone else is doing ok.

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

For visiting peeps that aren't familiar with celcius that's going to be 116.6F!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :S
edited to say the +47C that Timmins, Ontario will be receiving.

Oh Broots I feel for you guys......good thing you have A/C!

I am so sorry, Linda. That sounds just nasty. I'd have a major headache with that much humidity too. Man, the weather has been so strange this Spring. Lets all pray that it straightens out soon and goes back to normal. Until then, try and stay cool, Brenda. :)

edited to say, thanks for being so understanding...duhhh

Linda, haven't heard from you for so long. Hope this heat wave doesn't last too long for you. I'm in for a quick lunch and back out to work today. It is so gorgeous and cool out there today, have to take advantage of it. I'll send it on your way.

Well, down here on Lake Ont., we have 34C today, feels like 43C with the humidity. Tomorrow, continuing humidity and 34C+ temps, plus T-storms are predicted. Needless to say, I haven't been out of the office today....lol. The walk to my train was pleasant this morning though.

Castlegar, BC(Zone 6b)

Gosh, makes you wonder how long that system will continue before it poops it's way out. Have a good weekend, Christine. :Donna

Thanks Donna. You too. We have a trip with friends planned tomorrow, and will be out of doors all morning .... hopefully the rain'll hold off until we're back home.

Blyth, ON(Zone 5b)

Here by the shores of Lake Huron we are having pretty much the same weather as Christine on Lake Ontario, with the same forecast. Unfortunately, SW Ontario is also known as tornado alley. I'm keeping all toes and fingers crossed that we are not cursed with that as well! --Ginny

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you Ginny.

Victoria, BC(Zone 8b)

I sure hope this heat wave for you doesn't last long.

I'll be in TO starting Wednesday for a week and am so glad our condo has A/C.

Linda

With the much higher population density there it would be awful Ginny. Crossing fingers and toes for you Ontario folks that the storm cells don't form and the temperature drops very gradually.

Blyth, ON(Zone 5b)

Thanks for all the good wishes everyone. So far the finger and toe crossing seems to be working. The feared thunder storm cells have not made an appearance. If we can just hold out until Thursday we are promised a little relief, with slightly cooler more seasonal temps. --Ginny
