I feel so lucky!!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Another hot pink. This brug caught my eye a few days ago, but today the blooms were really much darker. Mid size blooms.

This brug was grown last year, the winter pushed it down on its side. Tthe branch these blooms were on, was actually almost lying flat on the ground. The brug has 4 new suckers coming up straight now. So I clipped this off to get a better look, it was so crowded amongst the other brug seedlings. So I held this branch up towards the sky.

Excuse the leaf litter below this. This brug is growing on my rented growing grounds, and I leave the dead leaves on the ground to decompose.

When I pulled the tag up, I felt so bad. Poor Shirley got a seedling from this cross she hated, and I got one I love.

I am so lucky!!

I didn't hate it, it just wasn't good enough to keep. If I kept them all, I'd be in big trouble. LOL!

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

They are nice Kell, you sure get lots and lots of pink!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

AH but none of mine are truly pink, Susie. They all get to be an odd color even if they start off pink. I need to get a color chart to see what color they really are called. Not pink and not orange.

Thanks all. It was such a fun find last night after a long day at work. LOL. OK I lied , after a short day at work. LOL

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I brought home some blooms to get their pollen. I just remembered them. LOL. They are even pretty wilted.

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

IMO, the wilted ones look like a clear, true red - if that pink was white, I'd say they would look more red...they are very pretty!!

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

Gorgeous colour Kell and the tendrils look fantastic!!! Ü

Seattle Burbs, WA(Zone 8b)

OMG, I'm just a 'lurker' here in Brugs and I have to say that pink looks almost red? Wow, wow and wow!

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

Beautiful Kell, what is the cross?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Rosamond X RK, Linda. Thanks

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

Is that the same cross as 'Red' and 'Sexy Lady'? I've got some of yours coming along nicely but no Ys yet.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

No, Linda. I do not think so. Well, I think I need to look up Sexy Lady. It probably has Rosamond in it. I think Red has L'A in it.

Absolutely stunning, now find a nice name for her.

Hattiesburg, MS(Zone 8a)

kell-possible name Lady in Red.

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

I REALLY love this one, Kell ya done good.

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

BWard I love the name you have suggested.

Judy

Sounds like an excellent choice for a name.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Very pretty Kell. No doubt, you will have an exciting summer seeing your seedlings bloom. I hope you get that elusive pink you are trying for.

Whitewater, WI

I love it, Kell....
Am I growing her sisters?
I can't wait now... :)

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Kell that is so beautiful. Almost red, amazing

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

You could be Eva, lots of those seeds were sent out. I hope you get some great ones!!

Yes, Donna, it does. But it also can depend what day it is. LOL. I have noticed that with my other dark ones. Sometimes they are so dark then the next flush they are still dark but not as deep. Tonight Susanne was the darkest I have ever seen her here. I do not know what the difference was that made her so dark today.

I took a pic today of a new seedling. I will go look and check out the cross and see if it is the same. I am amazed at the differences I get between seeds of the same cross. I do notice Suav. seeds to be more uniform in what they produce from the same cross. At least fo rme. All white. LOL

Oh Frannie, if I got that pink I would not have anymore fun looking. LOL. Sometimes the hunt is better than the find. I am in no hurry. Did you have a good time at your new place? I bet you are tired. Almost done?

Good one Barb, I will see if it is so red next flush!!!
