Would like to trade for a some Purple Emperor Sedum

Blandinsville, IL(Zone 5a)

I love this sedum, and would would like to get more. I've got mostly hosta to trade, but I have other plants as well, I also have Maybouquet Lungwort.

My hosta and plants are true to name, not from a box store, and none are tc's

Annie- on my way out the door to go to work I will be back in the morning.

Hi Annie If you can wait about a week I have a Purple Emperor for some lUngwort. Am going out of town Sunday thru Tuesday Shirley

Coventry, RI(Zone 6a)

I can offer a small cutting...

Blandinsville, IL(Zone 5a)

Shirley - That sounds good to me, just let me know when you get back or when you are ready to trade.

Lulu- Thanks so much for the offer, but I don't have time to root things, and I'm not good at it.

No problem! Its what I have for now. I've leared that sedums are super easy to root with my little system, so I think I'm going to start a bunch to feed my trading addiction!

I should get in touch when Ms Vera Jameson is ready to go. She's my stunning new addition. Blue violet!!!

Annie, I have Purple Emporer I can bring down next week if you want some. Just let me know.

Also, I got the daylily order and guess what, they substituted.... grrrr... so these are what I am bringing down for you:

Ah Youth
Altanta Moonlight
Andrew Christian
Fair Play
Impressions
Lois Dews
Purple Rain Dance
Sparkling Orange
Stand By Me

They were out of the Far Niente, which of course was the one I thought was the prettiest.

Blandinsville, IL(Zone 5a)

Aww how sweet of you! You keep your Purple Emporer, I know you like it as much as I do. I've got some in Iowa, but just wanted more! You know like your "Guacamole" addiction. When you come in If you can get it up, you can have half of it!!

I'm counting the days! It's not fancy here, not a showplace, LOL and you will get to meet my smokies, and the rest of the herd. The nursery I wanted to take you to to get you markers will be closed sunday for the holiday. They will be open until 5 on Saturday, so if you guys get here early we can go there. Fair warning , they might be a little high on some things, but the plants are to die for. That is where I got the Orange Perfection Garden Phlox.

Here is the link to the markers if you want to order them, Click on the "Attractive markers with blank inserts (additional inserts available separately."
http://www.gardenscapetools.com/pages/markers.htm

You might want to bring a couple of containers, we can pack the plants like we are sending them out, this will save room instead of putting them in pots. I've got plenty of markers, bags etc, so you don't have to bring any of that stuff.

And.........if you are going to steal plants I will show you where I keep the supplies for packing plants, and all that I ask is please fill up the holes!!!

Annie

Well, it certainly wouldn't be the first time I've been accused of stealing plants, lol. But stealing is just not in my nature, and especially when I will be visiting one of the most generous people I know. I'm bringing the same clear Rubbermaid containers I've used before and you can completely see what is in there, can't hide anything that's for sure.

I've got all the supplies already packed in the trunk, lol, the paper towels, baggies, plant markers, and twistie ties. I'm going to the store to make sure I have everything for my world famous taco soup. I hope you and Ron like beans because there are 3 different kinds in it, black beans, kidney beans, and chili beans. I hope you're not vegetarians 'cause there's beef in it too, lol! I'll throw everything in the crock pot and throw the crock pot in a cooler in the back seat, it'll keep in the nice AC until we get there. You just let me know what else to bring because I certainly don't want YOU to have to do all the cooking and plus you said there wasn't a restaurant close by to take you out to. I'm sure we'll manage, we are NOT fussy eaters.

We are not fussy eaters either. I'm not much on desserts, but I will pick up some ice cream, and I have rasberries that are bearing. I can mix up a topping for the icecream.

Like I said, we are real simply here, I'm not a know -it-all and not much for putting on a big show. Don't mind my weeds and crab grass because I don't use chemicals. I just don't understand people that plant flowers for the butterflies and hummers, put up birdhouses then turn around and use roundup and other chemicals to kill them.

Just don't "accidentally" put a smokie in our bags or anything, lol, I'll be checking!!

Like I care about weeds, hon. I know you've been really busy with school anyway. But remember, I WILL be there to help with them.

Blandinsville, IL(Zone 5a)

I wouldn't put a smokie in your suitcase...........I don't think.LOL When you come maybe we can post their pics, and maybe someone will adopt them. All except Mama.....The boys have been nurtered.
