The plant tag reads Dipladenia splendens...evergreen vine, deep pink trumpet shaped flowers, full sun/pt. shade. That's it, nothing more. It is now about 12" tall and blooming beautiful pink flowers, but not vining yet. It reminds me of Mandevilla, (which is not hardy in my zone), which leads me to think it maybe a tropical here. Thanks for any info.

Thanks Trish! So, it is a Mandevilla, just a little different. In it comes for the winter. The flowers open a deep pink with a yellow throat, then fade to a soft shade of pink as they age. Won't vine much..guess I'll take that little wire trellis out of it's pot. lol
