Some Pictures

Castlegar, BC(Zone 6b)

We have had a few lovely hot days and it was supposed to cool off to a high of 24C today, but at 10:00am it was already 26C, so it looks like we are in for another beauty! So I took the digi and...

Who loves Roses? I do, I do!!

This is a snap of my favourite Hybrid Tea Rose, Rosie O'Donnell. Still not completely open, but gorgeous just the same. I will bore you with some other shots of her at a later time.

and Allium Schubertti... Not as impressed with these two Alliums as I am with Purple Sensation, but it's their first year so I'm hoping they'll make a better show next year. I have a trade lined up for a Allium Caeruleum (Blue Ornamental Onion) so I am excited about that.

I absolutely love your roses Donna. Never had an allium, but the purple ones are quite lovely - you see them all over the place in California. I'm sure the Christopyii and Schubertti will be spectacular next year.

Oh Donna..I'll trade you some seeds for another colour of my poppies! Elaine

Victoria, BC(Zone 8b)

those peony poppies are really nice.

Campbell River, BC(Zone 8a)

Your roses and peony poppies are beautiful Donna.

Castlegar, BC(Zone 6b)

Thank you ladies.

Sure Elaine, I would love to trade poppy seeds with you. From what I gather, you wait until the seed pod dries out enough to here the seeds rattle inside. Then empty the pod. If you are watching Joelle, tell me if this is right, please?

What colors do you have, Elaine?

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 4a)

You're right Donna. I can't wait for my poppies to bloom. I did have a number of different colors that were the peony ones.
:) Donna

Thanks Donna. I will do my best to harvest some poppy seeds this year. Be sure to take a photo of your poppies too when they bloom. I love to look at everyone's flowers. :)

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3a)

Sorry I missed this Donna, beautiful photos!!!
Yes when you can hear them, but before the little 'windows' at the top of the pod opens- if they do you will loose some seeds to movement (pets, wind, etc).

I ordered some really different ones for this year if all goes well I will post some pics and send you some seed. Thanks for everything. Joelle

"Little Windows", I got it! Thanks my friend. BTW, you've got mail. :)
