Mountain treasure, and it's so beautiful, such long tendrils on it, and smells wonderful.
look what bloomed when I was gone Mountain treasure
Very pretty Kathy ann
they are both beautiful, and i especially like the long tendrils! thanks for sharing, kathy ann.
=)
Wow I thought Mountain Treasure was no longer in existance and sorry but the other is not Tropical Sunset.
oh your kidding, so a trader sent me the wrong one? dang it, don't that beat all. I have it wrote down maybe I wrote who sent it too
Well, I have no idea where I got it, guess I'll just take the name tag off it then, what color is tropical sunset anyways? orange? seems like I thought it was an orange color. glad I haven't done much trading on the brugs then, most of mine were new last winter and last fall, and I haven't seen blooms till now. I swore I was doing some honest trading, wonder what went wrong. wish I knew
yellow with orange rim. Hopefully the trader just made a mistake and didn't do it on purpose. Hopefully Terry can tell you if you have Mtn Treasure. I thought she said it had died. She hybridizer the Mountain series I believe.
woops, I was moving brugs tonight, and noticed that the one blooming was right next to tropical sunset, but wasn't tropical sunset, it was a sad looking rafaella that was blooming, in the l00% sun, quite a diff flower than the other one I posted. but the sun has taken it's toll on her I guess. the leaves were all yellow too
I grew Mtn. Treas. from seed for Terry. She didn't release it until a few months ago, I believe. It is still in existance, for sure. I have one in my yard. Cuttings were sent to Terry and TiG after it bloomed here but it was kind of pushed to the back when Mtn. Magic bloomed so dark.
Kathy, she is lovely, both of them are, I know you're so proud to see them in bloom. :-) Great job!
I have got to have one of those wow! Tropical Sunset is gorgeous, wow! Anyone know where I could buy one of these beauties? Email it to me if you do please??
*begging*
Hugs
Julie
I knew that tropical sunset was georgious, Mine hasn't got a y on it yet, maybe soon though. Iknow that mountain treasure sure has a lovely scent, I can smell it everytime I walk into the greenhouse
Wowee, Kathy and Kell.... those are two of the best brugs I have ever seen....there goes my list again....I wish my brugs grew as fast as my wish list!
LOL I know what you mean, I don't dare look at new brugs coming out, it would cause great harm here LOL. I'm trying to downsize the brugmansias here and I'm having a difficult time with it, I've planted some in the ground and will have to cut those down to the ground this winter.
I have no clue where my TS is. It has been missing for awhile. I have a bunch of old ones untagged, ones I was sure I could recognize by the shape. Well duh to me, the shape is forever changing. LOL. I have to wait for it to bloom to find it again. I hope my DH didn't cut it up. I know I let him have his way with a few unnamed ones in winter that were bugging him.
Mine was so dark, I was thrilled with it.
Mountain Treasure is alive and well. I've got two trees growing in the garden next to MM.
I'm glad you like her Kathy Ann. She should bloom a little darker for you but not as dark as MM.
Agggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh, I think I've died and gone to heaven.
Just incredible.
Mountain Treasure is gorgeous too, and so is MM.
Ladies, please sniff them for me...
Jackie
Me too, Jackie, they are really swell, aren't they...
hmmmmmm Maybe Mtn Mist or something like that is history. I know I saw a post about one of them dieing last year lol
I remember that, too, Donna, but I don't remember which Mtn. it was said about.
MT may not be as dark pink as MM, but it sure is a beauty. I just love the form and everything about it. Nice job Terry & Shirley!
You're right Donna. Mtn. Mist went to Brug heaven.
lol I knew it was one of them
That's where I want to go..........to Brug heaven
