I have some, and its dying! I heard this stuff was pretty tough. I know its in the wrong place, what does it want?? Everything else around it is gorgeous, so that has to be it.

It likes moist roots and good sun.....mine just grows and grows.

Coventry, RI(Zone 6a)

Moist, huh? I have that. Someone else told me dry, couldn't find it listed here, and I'm too lazy to search the web at the moment. I was toying with the idea of splitting it up around the property, and see which one wins. Thanks, you may have just saved it from a dry torturous death.

Well all I can speak for is my own experience....I could be doing it wrong I suppose :-)
Wouldn;t be the first time. LOL

Coventry, RI(Zone 6a)

Well, it doesn't belong where it is now, so I think I'll scatter it around, and see what happens.

I bought some of this last year and put it in partial shade with moist soil and it just simply expired! I have 3 tiny little pieces of it that survived, which I have put into a planter box I use to grow elfin thyme. Hopefully it will be happy there. I was really disappointed, because a lady that was in the checkout line with me went on and on about how tough and invasive it was. So , when it died, I felt like a total loser.

Coventry, RI(Zone 6a)

LOL, I'm right there with ya Mac! Killedmy thymes, and my lemon balm too!!! Can you believe that??? Based on my current research, I think I loved them to death....

Ocean Springs, MS(Zone 9a)

I have some ajuga that was given to me a couple years ago and it has spread all over the place. But, I don't know if it is 'Chocolate Chip'. I would be willing to send a photo if you like.
