Thanks everyone, it was a very hectic birthday....I had customers all day, (but....I did at least sell a villa....) then my husband and I went out for dinner in the old part of town, and then had ice cream while strolling on the waterfront.
Here they have just started celebrating birthdays in the past 10-15 years, but nothing really compared to how we do it in the states.....You know how its like Christmas for us on our birthday, well, no....not here......
And especially if you arent a kid, your birthday is never celebrated....

Thanks again guys for remembering my birthday, it is kind of hard being away from friends and family on these occasions for me. My sisters would always have a get together for me, and lots of silliness, laughing and good cheer.
I guess I miss the silliness and laughing that we do a lot in the states, ....
People here are not as goofy as we are I guess, or how can i say it, they dont just guffaw at stuff like we do, or is it just me and my family that can just get goofy for silly little things.
I dont know, but when i am with my husbands family, or even with friends, it is more stilted, formal, non of the joculariy that we enjoy in the states with friends and family..
you know how you could get togher with friends and laugh for hours on end, at silly things, and one thing woul lead to another and next thing you know you are just hystrically laughing with tears streaming down your fce....well, i miss that kind of fun silly times...

anyway, that's it for my moaning..... Thanks again for thinking of me.
