Congrats. Just a little bit of information so you aren't shocked if you have a different color when it is all over....most buds are yellow to start. Even pinks and whites. LOL! Have fun. I know you will enjoy it and if it ends up yellow, you will love it. Yellows have become my favorite color this year. All of the pinks are starting to look alike to me. I think I need a white, yellow, or peach in between all the pinks so I can differentiate. LOL! I hope you will be able to post pictures when it opens and has had a night to get most of it's color. Also....I love hearing what people say after they get the first whiff of a bloom. Have fun!

Joni did it open yet????????????????? lol

Joni, Brugie is right, they all are yellow first when they come out of the calyx, then when it's completely dropped out as far as it will go, they you'll get your pinwheel, that's when you should start watching for it to open. Some of those little angels are slow and want to aggravate you by waiting, but it worth the wait, trust me! Have fun!

I'm watching this thread in anticipation :-)

Jonie, the first brug watch I had was a brug that I bought off the side of the road and it's tag said 'white'. I love white and was anxiously waiting, like you, and was i ever surprised when it opened that it was yellow and there was no fragrance, I couldn't believe it. If I had not shown the family, I would have thought I had gone color blind over night because the next day, the blossom was bright pink and smelled like heaven!! It surely was fun and I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine, no doubt you will, lol...

Happy Father's Day to all of the dad's out there in Brug world!
Thanks for all of the notes today! I have read them to my family ...as we are waiting for the brug to fully open. It will be a surprise I'm sure. I read each and eveyone of your notes and have learned so much this past month.
I'm posting a "Father's Day Flower" it isn't open yet, but think it will in the morning! What do you all think?
Also we have a 66" tall Sunflower that is over a foot across....this has been a fun week!
