And then there were Froglets.

For those of you who have been watching the tadpoles develop, here they are today. We have our first froglets about to drop their tails and join the garden community. Look on the brug stem.

I guess that brug roots are not poisonous to tadpoles because they have made a steady diet of them.

This has been a fun project. DH says they are the most spoiled tadpoles in the county. I have to go put something soft under the bucket. I do not want them to jump out and ring their little froggie chimes on the cement.

My friend in Ramona ended up turning an old Horse watering trough into a pond because tadpoles were in it in the rainy season and she didn't want to risk them not developing..... and so was born another hobby. :-)

Any water slosh over during the recent earthquakes? Not here.

Janice, They sure are something else to look at. You have been such a great frog Mom. Thanks for keeping us posted on their progress. It has been so much fun to follow.

So do all frogs start out like that? Even killer frogs like Sue has that catch and eat birds?

We used to have little frogs when we had our pond. They were so very loud. We couldn't believe such small things could make such noise. I love them.

We have this frog in the pond that thinks he is a dog! Whenever the dogs start barking, he makes such a load croak, it sounds like a dog. We call him our "watch frog."

What a great parent you are!!
