I have this in a pot with soil, which is in a pot filled with water (bog?). This pot has variegated iris and chameleon plant in it. I like the color contrast.

I love that! I was able to find that Chameleon while in Okla. last week, and have planted it in the ground in the shade. There were 5 little plants in the pot, so one of them, I put in a pot of soil, then set that in an old birdbath that I'm keeping water in, kind of temporary, to see how it will do.
How much sun can yours take?
I love the variegated iris. I have not seen that one, but I love mixing silver grass in my little pots for a look similar to yours... Does this bloom?

Mel, just so you know...that chameleon is usually best managed when kept in a pot with no holes. For some folks, it spreads like kudzu and is almost impossible to get rid of. Like Rylaff, I have some too but I too have mine in a small waterpot garden...just wanted you to know :)
UH oh. I put it in a place that I want it to cover, but it's only about 8x8... guess I had better get a large tub to plant it in, and see if I can contain it. I had read about some people buying large flat, rubbermaid type containters, like underbed containers... maybe that would work, except for the tree roots won't allow me to dig that deep...
May have to rethink this! My neighbor has the solid green plant, and it has spread, but we like it!

I have this plant for years but never bloom like an Iris. Leafs are looking like Iris but flowers are very small and not like Iris.
