Hi! I'm new to Dave's Garden and would like to keep expanding my garden with some new plants. What I'm looking for is different and ususual iris (tempt me!),
hostas, dark hollyhocks (double or single),ususual color hens and chicks, any helleborus lenten rose, passion flower,
variegated grasses, anything that smells like chocolate! =),
elephant ear, garden loosestrife, astilbes, and foxtail lily.
What I have to divide is:
evening primose, spearmint, lamb's ear, pachysandra, possibly some phlox, and I have various seeds such as dianthus dark red, wisteria, mimosa trees, trumpet vine,

Got something to divide or take cuttings or seeds from?

Hi Lizzy. I sent you a message about trading through Dave.
Hi, I too am new. I have Hosta seeds (vericosa) which I would like to trade. I've never grown wisteria from seed before. How easy is it? I have one plant, but it was given to me by a neighbor.
I have a ton of dianthus in the front yard, but have never harvested the seed before. Any hints on that?
Let me know if you want the Hosta seeds and we can work out a trade.
thanks,
Carla
lizzy, whereabouts are you?
I have chocolate mint that needs to be cut back. Let me know if your interested.
I am looking for Trumpet Vine and I have single and double black holy hocks and dark red single and double.
My email is nancy5@sympatico.ca
Let me know.
Thanks,
Nancy
I'd love to trade something for that trumpet vine....I live on the west coast of British Columbia (which boasts to be the garden city capital of Canada)...
Almost anything grows here and I have become addicted to collecting and taking cuttings from anything different or unusual. I have gathered a handful of succulents that thrive in warm conditions. Hens and chicks to me are considered succulents and I have a few different types to offer. Please do not ask for the technical/latin names as I don't have a clue...I do have a passion for them and would be glad to share/trade... interested?
I know that shipping them out of country is a no-no I am guessing that you live in the states.
please advise
I look forward to your response.....Marika
Lizzy you got mail.

I have some black hollyhock seeds if you're interested. Perhaps a trade for your yellow hollyhock seeds?
Thanks.
Carla(smiln32) Wisteria can take up to 20-30 year to bloom from seed. Gett a cutting. They are easy to layer and get roots!
Gracious. I had no idea it could take that long to grow from seed. Forget that. We're military and I can't know for sure if we'll even be living here in 2 -3 years, much 20-30. Thanks for your help, fivekulps.
