They are looking great and that fence is really nice. I love it.

I don't know if the brugs like the fence, but I do! A white picket fence is part of the American Dream.

Those are looking good. I'd like to add two pics of mine that I have placed in the ground. Although they aren't terribly big, they are happier than the ones in the pots. The leaves are stronger, and they don't get battered by wind where I have them.

Here's "Lil Whiskers" (one that broke off the top of a cutting and I potted it, sometime last winter)

And here's Creamsicle. She wants to be a bush.

I love your fence and it will look awesome when those Brugs bloom. You'll be the envy of your neighborhood.

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

Thanks, I simply love my fence,
Karrie your plants are looking great, it is amazing how much better they do in the ground, I hate to think of the fall when I have to decide what to do about them, they will not survive the winter here.

Corte Madera, CA

love the fence, the lawn, and the happy brugs!

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

Things look wonderful!

Your fence is great and your brugs look happy and healthy, great going!!!!

Karaoke,

I'm going to dig mine up in the fall, but I am also going to start some cuttings of them as well, as a back-up.

Zion, IL(Zone 5a)

kareoke - you're not military are you?

same sentiments as listed above but I'm also wondering when you're going to get a rose over your arbor? Zephrine Drouhin is made for it - smells good, repeat blooms and thornless climber.

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

Karrie I suspect that I will dig up the best ones, ( that could end up to be all of them lol) I will have a new 14' x 14' greenhouse added on to my house, to put them in.

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

Kareoke,

Awesome! Lucky you to get a greenhouse! :-)

I don't think I am going to put mine in pots. I'm going to bag the roots in black garbage bags (with some of the soil) and put them in the basement over winter. That is, unless someone comes in here and tells me that that is not a good idea! Those pots just get so darned heavy!

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

Blaine, with regard to the rose, does repeat blooms means it blooms all growing season?? If not, about how often does it bloom??

(Mary) Poway, CA(Zone 10a)

My Zephrine Drouhin is on the 2nd blush. The first one was in April, so I guess there's time for more. This is the first blooming year for a bush I got last year. Had a little black spot on it earlier in the rains. It's delicate - feminine looking

Funny how this thread got on roses. I'd just posted a thread in the Rose Forum about propagating a cutting from my neighbor's Joseph's Coat (love that one). We will have to see if I can do it. It doesn't look easy.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I am so impressed Doris. And your GH will be filled with them all winter. You may have winter flowers and make us all so envious! LOL

I love your yard and fence. I can't wait to see all your blooms. Lucky you!

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

8ft no I am not millitary. just a 78 young lady LOL
I just did get my fence so not time for roses yet, but I will keep that one in mind

Myrtle Beach, SC

Very, very pretty. The picket fence is going to be splashed with color in no time at all :)))

Zion, IL(Zone 5a)

Sherry - this is the 4th time I've ordered them. This is the first year I've actually planted them. Always ended up giving them away. Anyway, my 2 little girls bloomed first while in the hoophouse earlier waiting for a spot to be chosen. I snapped off the hips and got another bloom each and now they're both planted outside and have each given 2 more. I had read about and recommended for a long time and they're everything I expected. Although they can get black spot, they respond well to deadheading, the blooms are pink and they have a great fragrance.

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

8ft do you know where I could get one-or two.

Doris,

Beautiful But oh my the first thing I thought was ... male dogs coming by hiking their leg on your Brugs!!! Please tell me they are planted far enough inside the fence to prevent this so I won't worry.

Judy

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

Judy, no dogs around this area, and when they are they are on a leash and people seem very conciouse of your plants. and yes they are far enough away *S*

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

Whew!!!

I have a many critters, some of which are male, therefore my concern.

I love your fence and your brugs look great planted the way they are.

I wish for you many blooms.

Just think of the lucky people taking walks during the evening! You will have a show-stopper when they are blooming - and they will enjoy the fragrance as well! :-)

Zion, IL(Zone 5a)

Doris - I'd look in the local wallyW, Lowes, Home Depot first. Anyone that has roses may have some locally. This year I ordered from Flower and Scent. They were little rooted cuttings but wasted no time in blooming. I have a couple of stops to make today and will keep an eye out in case you don't see any.
