I have a water lily 'Attraction'.....it's doing quite well, sending up many pads. Yesterday I noticed a flower bud on the surface. It still hasn't opened today. How long should it take for a bud to open once it makes it to the surface?

Jenny, my bet is it will open today. We have attraction also, one of the plants has bloomed for the second time already. I was anxious also and asked this same question on another thread!!!
LOL Thanks silverfluter! It's more cloudy today, so I hope it still opens. I'm just so anxious to see it, and I guess I don't remember other lily blooms taking so long to open. :o) Jenny

I live in zone 5 and my red attraction just opened on Sunday. Walmart done me right. ;) Also my yellow sulphurea has opened. So yours will be blooming soon I would think.
It is blooming now. I had 3 open blooms today! :o) Jenny
That is great jenny. The attraction is so pretty. The yellow is pretty but it has a smaller bloom.
