if cut below the y????

i have one thats got great leaf formation and was cut below the y but have heard some say they dont bloom this way of cutting. can i give it bloom boost to help???

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

They take longer to bloom from a cutting below the Y because they have to start from the beginning on growing a new Y but they do bloom.
I would just fertilize with Peter's or MG and not use the bloom booster. Make sure it's in a big enough pot and has food, water and sun and it should start forming a Y.

Marie, they'll bloom but it just takes longer to get the 'Y' when it's below the 'Y'...but when it does, watch for the little buds, they'll soon follow :-)

okay it does get planty of miricle grow 2 times a week most of the time. these past two weeks its gotten nothing as allthe dang rain would of washed it away any how.

okay will be paitent then. someone told me three years it took theres and i dont want to wait that long. ill be grey by then hehe.

Nahhhhhhhh lol...that's simply not true...in most cases they will develop a 'Y' and the cycle starts over...not to worry, you'll have blooms and a Y this season. :-)

La Grange, TX(Zone 8b)

I have some Brugs that have formed a 'Y' twice and still no buds. They had been getting Miracle Grow twice a week. I have a running battle with spider mites on these plants. Would spider mites keep the Brugs from forming buds?

i dont know that spider mites have anything to do with it or not. probably though as they do everything else.

waiting patiently for the Y to happen. hopefully soon.

So long as it has true "Y"'s it WILL flower. Just be patient--I KNOW--it is hard!!! Mine do not have Y's yet!! It needs full sun and LOTS of water but it will certianly flower and then it will be worth the wait! Bonnie
