CLOSED: CLOSED: Iris anyone?

Brookhaven, PA(Zone 7a)

I have about 25 trades of between 3/5 fans each (some are more but they are smaller offshoots) of this iris. Probably Insipration I am not an iris expert. This plant is VERY prolific. I started out with 3 or 4 fans and this is what I ended up with after 2 years I split them now (totally the wrong time I know) because they just weren't working out where I had them.

If you want some and you are coming to the Mid Atlantic RU I can hold them until then!

I don't have alot on my wantlist but check it out-- tempt me -- I do however have enough iris, hosta, black eyed susan, lillies... I like houseplants and flowering plants but I don't have a greenhouse yet (Dear Santa, I have been a good girl this year.....) Also like scented plants (mints, geranuims)

I like the Aztec Lillies~ what color are the daylilies? I have "ditch"
lillies and some deep red ones.

Oooh, I need fast growing iris, and I only have yellow, blue, purple and black. So, how about....honeysuckle? sedum (several different)? Lamb's ear? I have a spare white day lilly. Apple mint? Spearmint? Irish moss, or perhaps a wee bit'o lemon thyme? I have this house plant ivy that I adore. The most low maintenance thing I have ever owned: hedera helix, ivy hermania. not exciting, lush green and easy, medium to low light, drought tolerant it seems. Perfect for my house, how about yours?

LOL!!! lemmie check the plants out Lulu! Oh man -- I want a black Iris! when you get enough to divide keep me in mind.

White daylily sounds nice, so does the apple mint - no ivy thanks _dh is sensative to anything that may cause rashes (I know it's not poison ivy--""Compounds in English ivy are somewhat toxic and include glycosides that cause vomiting, diarrhea, nervous conditions and dermatitis in sensitive individuals"" From a googled website)--- even my moonflower and morning glory -- DH can't touch.

If yu haven't mailed the other trade- just box it all up together-- I can get the iris out tomorrow.

Dstartz =-- got your box the other day! Thank you!
Killer-- Got your box today!!! Thank you!!!!! Great looking canna!!!!!

Elizabethton, TN(Zone 7a)

mystic - your box arrived today~ thanks much!!!

I'm guessing the stokesia looks dead? If it only looks 99% dead, plant it anyway - it does this "near death experience" thing when its moved, but it always has recovered for me. let me know if I need to send more, or if you want seeds for it.

Brookhaven, PA(Zone 7a)

Killer-- yup --looks dead -- but I'm patient (besides I figured it was mY fault LOL!!) I owe a couple boxes -- I didn't get them out because of the RU - I will post tomorrow--

LULU!!!!! I got your box RIGHT before we left (in fact I saw the mailman pull up on our block and I made DH wait until he came- and then I had to pot everything) YOU ARE THE BEST!!! Thank you soo much for the black Iris!!!! I will have yours out tomorrow for sure!

Concord, NH(Zone 5a)

Thanks I will see what I can find.

Brookhaven, PA(Zone 7a)

Nanner - I am sorry -- it all flew at the RU....

Concord, NH(Zone 5a)

It is ok, hope you made some good trades. Will have stuff in the fall to trade.

Coventry, RI(Zone 6a)

I'm glad all arrived safely. I actually had to do a little research on dividing iris! They are new to my beds this year. I know it was small, but it will grow. Mine was so stunning, 4 blooms/stem, over and over for like 1-2 weeks. I can't believe I missed my photo op. Please enjoy it. I wish I could have sent more.

Hagerstown, MD(Zone 6a)

Lu - do you know the name of your black iris?

Coventry, RI(Zone 6a)

Its "Before The Storm". It was so dark, it really looked black.
