Winston reached another milestone today!!!

La Grange, TX(Zone 8b)

He's had the e-tube out for 6 weeks. The only visible sign of the trauma he has been through since late January is a tiny scar. He had X-Rays last week which show his lungs are much improved and there is no kidney or liver damage so far. His breathing rate is a lot slower. He will remain on the fungicide untill the lungs are completely clear. Vet can't saw when that will be.

Despite short bursts of chasing or play, his life has been mostly sedentary. But today is one of the days to which I have been looking forward!!! He raided his toy barrel and spent the better part of an hour pounching, chasing, jumping and being a cat. I had to share my joy at seeing him this close to recovery. I hoped and prayed for his recovery, but would not have been surprised to have lost him. He was that ill. I want to thank everyone who offered prayers for him. I'm sure they have helped him this far.
